We care deeply about the details, building in partnership and creating magic spaces to enjoy.  We'll help you to clearly envision your hotel, restaurant, flower shop, bar, bodega (any communal space for humans, really). Together we'll plan for its development and turn it into a welcoming place.

As Co-Founder of Casetta Group, Carolyn directed all creative teams to transform boutique hotels from concept and vision through construction and re-positioning : Casa Cody in Palm Springs, Hotel Marina Riviera in Big Bear, The Pearl Hotel in San Diego, Hotel Lucile in Silver Lake, Hotel Willa in Taos, NM and a soon-to-open hotel in Hudson, NY.  Seeking buildings with a story, Casetta's projects are architecturally unique, often historic, and in special destination, leisure locations.  

Casetta's properties have been awarded Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice Awards for several consecutive years, and they have been featured in such publications as The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Vogue, Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Cool Hunting, Surface Magazine and Dwell.

Corner Booth, established in 2023, lends a hand to others in the business of creating extra special hospitality spaces. Currently in development : A community in historic Pioneer Square, Seattle consisting of a hotel, membership club, artist in residency and multi-outlet restaurants, a boutique hotel in Marin County, CA and a new hotel concept in Upstate New York.

Prior to Casetta, Carolyn was part of the pre-development and opening for landmark boutique hotels in Los Angeles, including properties for Ace Hotel Group, Proper Hospitality and NoMad Hotels.

In 2021, Carolyn was named Boutique Design Magazine's Up-and-Coming Hotelier, an award that recognizes the hoteliers who are redefining guests’ expectations regarding how hotels look and operate.
