Hotel Lucile // Silver Lake, CA
Coming soon...
A church built in 1931 on the corner of Griffith and Lucile in Silver Lake with entitlements for a hotel, restaurant, bar, pool and rooftop. Nestled on the residential side of bustling Sunset Blvd, with rooftop views of Downtown LA, Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood sign, Hotel Lucile is positioned to be the premiere hotel in Silver Lake. Plans include 25 guest rooms, a 100 seat restaurant, a pool, rooftop, Choir Lounge and private Organ room.
Working within the constructs of the existing church building, with no new construction, guest rooms were added into what was the former Sunday school, a former playground became the pool and deck, the chapel transformed into bar and restaurant, the stage became a private dining room, the choir space was adapted to become a bar and lounge area, and the Organ room became a private cocktail room. All new landscaping lends a European villa feel - romantic and surprising. An art program that focuses on LA influenced artists, as well as drawing inspiration from the existing features of the building such as beautiful stained glass and archways. Peggy Guggenheim - patron of the arts - served an design inspiration for this eclectic property. Opening in 2024.
