Hotel Marina Riviera // Big Bear Lake, CA

A 42 room lodge set overlooking the lake in Big Bear Village. The property, originally built in 1968 and inspired by a Viking Ship, was an untapped gem in Big Bear. Just a 5 minute walk to the main stretch of restaurants in the Village, and a quick complimentary shuttle ride to the slopes. Casetta’s renovation of the property was impactful - transforming the run down motel into a premier boutique hotel. Guest room design was inspired by the local wilderness environs and year round beauty.

Moody lighting, a funky lobby playlist and a deep color palette with cozy gas fireplaces on the top floor of the lodge completed the transformation. On-site amenities include pool, spa, barrel sauna, and firepits. Across the street a renovation of six cabins, all complete with 2 bedrooms, gas fireplace and a full kitchen. The design of the cabins takes on a midcentury inspired design and feels more residential in nature. The evolution of this property included a full re-brand of all collateral and assets. The property’s name, Marina Riviera was returned to the original from 1968, which was renamed Marina Resort some time later in its life. With Marina Riviera’s rebirth, Big Bear Lake finally has a premiere boutique hotel - a standout in a hospitality driven town.

In 2024, Marina Riviera will include a bar, restaurant, firepits, and spa/sauna services.
